Knowledge from Experience: Building the post-2015 Sustainable Development Agenda with People Living in Extreme Poverty
United Nations Headquarters, Conference Room 1 (Conference Building), New York New York

The International Movement ATD Fourth World, one of Participate’s research network members is hosting an event to launch their participatory action-research findings from a three-year programme of research with people living in poverty, in 12 countries.

This event is the conclusion to a two-day seminar giving people living in poverty and international development actors in the UN arena the opportunity to exchange ideas on an equal footing. The seminar forms part of ATD Fourth World’s ongoing MDG evaluation conducted alongside its grassroots members.

Presenters will share with stakeholders engaged in the post-2015 process, the collective knowledge emanating from people living in poverty who have participated in the research. Participants will then discuss recommendations on the most effective means to deliver a sustainable development framework “that leaves no one behind”.
